This was a great weekend for the Muay Thai community in Sydney with 2 great shows on Sunday in Marrickville. It was also an amazing weekend for SRG Thai Boxing Gym, that had 3 boxers in action and all came out with the Win, having 2 of them winning by KO.
In the amateur afternoon Siam2Sydney show we had first Hayden SRG Harbutt facing Charlie Avery from Mardsing Muay Thai Gym. Both went for it and gave their all, but Hayden came out with the big W after pushing forward the whole fight with relentless effort.
After that we had Maksud SRG Jamilov facing Ben Tully from CKO Muay Thai Gym. Maksud took the better of Ben at their earliest exchanges, winning via a dislocated elbow after connecting a strong kick in the first 40sec of the bout. Ben couldn’t continue and we wish him a speed recovery. Maksud is back at the gym today training for his upcoming MASA Amateur Welterweight FTR Title on Nov 25th.
In the evening and Professional Rebellion Muay Thai XII we had Ching Soot Raaeng Geert representing us against William Whipple from Sitmonchai Gym. Ching fought really well, took the best out of his opponent with damaging left kicks and as predicted by his corners, Ching waited to for Willy to try to catch his kick and finished the fight with a brutal step forward elbow on the 3rd round.
We would like to send a special thanks to the Muay Thai Australia NSW and WMC referees and judges for another great performance by all. Also a big thank you to Andrew and the PTJ Muay Thai crew for doing another Siam2Sydney event to us all. Also to Sy and the Rebellion Muay Thai team for bringing to Sydney one of the best set ups of Australia.
Hope you all had as much fun as we did and we see you all at training.
SOOT RAAENG GEERT!
