Yet another successful War on the North Shore. At it’s 34th edition the Bulldog Gym Manly crew together with the promoter Nick Stone did not disappoint and the crowd enjoy some pretty good, actually some in a really high level, amateur bouts.
From the SRG Thai Boxing fight team we had Maksud SRG Jamilov and Huw SRG Davies representing us.
As the 11th fight of the evening we had Maksud facing Joz Morton from Bulldog Gym Manly. A well rounded fighter with amateur boxing experience and we knew we were in for a hard battle. Mak came out good, found his rhythm and brought our hopes up. Unfortunately Joz brought the best out of himself in the second and third and displayed great technique and power, over taking Maksud in the score cards. We were really surprised with his Joz performance and we can’t wait to see him in action again.
The 17th fight of the evening had our other boxer, Huw SRG Davies facing Jack Lewis from SBG Gym. Huw presented himself very well, with great technique and an authentic Thai Style he outscored his opponent in every single round taking the win by UPD. So happy for Huw that managed to get another win under his belt and is on the right path of becoming one of the best up and coming fighters in the amateur scene. We hope to see him back in action early in the next year, it will all depend if his british blood will allow his to stay away from the major parties until then.
Thanks to all that came and supported us yesterday, a special thanks to the promoter and his team for having us once again, hope to be back there in no time.
We can’t for the next event, here at SRG Thai Boxing Gym, next weekend the 9th and 10th of December for the MTA NSW State Championships. Hope to see you all there!
