We are a little bit more than a week away from the biggest fight for SRG Thai Boxing Gym.
Our head coach and main fighter Luis Soot Raaeng Geert is on his final stages of preparations for the upcoming battle against no one less than Yodsanklai Fairtex at ONE Championship “Destiny of Champions” on Dec 7th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
We seriously have never seen Luis training like this before, and it’s not a surprise, he is facing one of the best Nak Muays of our generation and is getting himself ready for an absolute war.
The fight is at the Featherweight division (70kg) and it will be a 3 x 3 (3 rounds of 3 minutes) on a cage wearing 4oz MMA Gloves (also a first for Luis).

For us all at SRG, this is history on the make and Luis has the opportunity to write his name on the Muay Thai history “books” if he gets out there and impresses everyone with an amazing performance. More than that, we feel like he has been training to shut the mouth of all the so called “haters” or simply jealousy people out there, that truly believe that Luis is going all the way to Malaysia to simply promote himself and is already expecting a defeat. This is not, and has never been the case at SRG Thai Boxing Gym, maybe its a reality on another academies around our country, but is definitely not the case here. Instead of us all, Australians, get behind Luis and support him on the toughest bout of his life, we are assuming that he is being put there to feed Yodsanklai. We can’t wait to see the faces of them all when we come back home with the big W. Don’t forget, this is the fight business, and in a fight anything can happen.
Hope you guys had a great week, and see you all at training! WE ARE ONE! SOOT RAAENG GEERT!
