We couldn’t be prouder of our boys, the SRG Kids Fight Team is now in full swing.
This past weekend, in Toowoomba QLD, we had the Siam Cup 11 Juniors Muay Thai and it was just amazing.
We had 3 boys representing the SRG Thai Boxing Gym Family, Anwar Kumar, Oscar Kurtini and Aadam Kumar and they fought in that order.
Anwar fought really well, had a reach advantage against his opponent and displayed great technique and heart. He lost on point by split decision to a very tough boy that showed a lot of heart and had sharp hands.
Oscar went through some tough moments went we got there. Overwhelmed by the whole “Muay Thai show” atmosphere, he wasn’t sure about in the ring. After having a chat with his opponent, the referee and also his parents, he decided that it was Show Time and he brought it all. We couldn’t be prouder of him. Oscar had a really tough opponent, one year older and that had a fight before, and he did really well. He fought 3 rounds, got more aggressive as the fight went in a true SOOT RAAENG GEERT style. After the fight, the referee presented him with $50, and he was simply over the moon.
Then we had Aadam, as fight number 7 of the day. What a great fighter Aadam is. He has amazing technique, listens very well and has the maturity of a professional Adult Fighter. We took the win by outscoring his opponent in every round and gave us the victory we needed to close our weekend.
Without mentioning that Aadam went in to get double Gold Medals on Sunday, the day after, at the Grappling Industries Jiu Jitsu competition in Brisbane. The Kumar Brothers are in the right path practicing various Martial Arts and also excelling on them.
The boys were all back at training yesterday and are here today again on their routine. The future is here. SOOT RAAENG GEERT!
