Do you know how many instructor we have at the moment? Or even harder, do you who they are and what’s their background in Martial Arts?
Answering the first question, at the moment our Muay Thai team has 6 trainers and below it’s a little bit about them.
Luis Regis W 23 L 7 D 0
The heart and soul of the gym. Luis opened the gym 10 years ago with one purpose, to give back to his students what Muay Thai gave to him. Luis started his martial arts trajectory back in Brazil training Capoeira and when he moved to Australia he fell in love for the Art of the 8 Limbs. Luis has been fighting against the biggest names in Muay Thai in Australia and overseas over his career and managed to get himself 3 Australian Belts, 1 NSW State Belt, 1 Commomonwealth Champion and a World Champion belt to his collection.
Maksak Patsanon – Deaw W 69 L 7 D 0
One of a kind. Deaw devoted over 30 years of his life to Muay Thai, fighting and preparing fighters over the years. He worked for years at the worldwide known Kem Gym, being one of the head trainers at the gym and Kem’s trainer. Maksak has been a resident trainer here at SRG in the past 4 years and we couldn’t ask for anyone better.
Phisit Suksawang – Ching W 175 L 61 D 4
Quiet. Humble. Hard worker. These are a few words we could use to describe Ching. He’s our youngest trainer and of the most notorious. Graduated at the Muay Thai university in Thailand he had the honor to receive his diploma from Thailand’s king. Ching’s knowledge and classes dynamic are the next level and he’s on the mats everyday sharing his experience with the SRG students.
Narongdet Panjula – Pandin W 154 L 52 D 1
No he’s not angry at you. Good mood isn’t Pandin’s number 1 quality but when it comes to Muay Thai, he’s the one. WMC World Champion and Rajadamern Stadium Champion, Pandin was one of the best fighters in Thailand, respected all over the country and owner of one of the best push kicks we have ever seen. Old school, that’s what defines Pandin, great work ethic and not big in fancy techniques.
Thiraphong Kittikhun – Joh W 269 L 44 D 4
Probably the chillest Thai we ever met. Joh doesn’t talk much, never complains and always have a big smile to every student. His outstanding record as professional fighter is almost unreal. Do you think you know how to clinch? You wouldn’t last a round with this man. In over ten years we haven’t seen someone so dominant as Joh when it comes to clinch.
Nattakit Pakkawan – Golf W 45 L 23 D 0
Golf Soot Raaeng Geert had a vital role on our fight team. He was helping out all our fighters with their upcoming fights for over a year and recently joined our trainers squad three times per week. He fought on the biggest stadiums in Thailand and now share his experience with our prospect and professional fighters
