We come through this to inform our students about a few things to keep in mind with events, opening hours and etiquette in the gym.
This past weekend now we had our last fights for the year, with a 1 Win and 1 Loss we closed the amazing year of 2016.
Maksud SRG Jamilov end up losing to Hugh O’Donnell in their rematch battle for the MASA Welterweight AM FTR Belt. Hugh was too strong and too good for Mak, that lost by UPD after 5 hard rounds of Muay Thai. Great props to the Double Dragon Gym and to Hugh on a beautiful display of Muay Thai.
Ching Soot Raaeng Geert brought another victory to the SRG Thai Boxing Corner. Making this his sixth consecutive victory, Ching is taking the Australian Muay Thai Scene its head. Fighting Australians as well as Thais, Ching has been getting better in each of his fights and becoming one of the main representatives of the SRG Family. He is ready to take anyone, at any place, from February next year at his weight division (67kg – 69.5kg).
This past weekend he took the best out of Dimitri Taipan Iliev that couldn’t keep going after the strong kicks of Ching in his arm at the 3rd round.

—————————— TO SRG MEMBERS —————————————-
Guys we are going through our warmest time of the year and it is MANDATORY to bring a towel to every training session. EVERY TRAINING SESSION. If you don’t have one, please see the reception and make sure to have a PHOTO ID (or some other personal belonging that you will need to retrieve it before leaving the gym) and $2.
We have been pretty easy about it and we have been lending a lot of stuff, including training equipment, and not charging anyone for it to make sure everyone has the best of times, but unfortunately we are not having the same back to us. To our surprise, we are finding equipment lent to students all over the place, towels that we lend under the ring, inside the lost and found box and also at the rubbish (completely wet) and that made us have enough.
Besides making sure that everyone has a the most pleasant of times, we need to insure that everyone respects the Gym and what is done in order to have the best of times. From now on, there won’t be anyone, with NO EXCEPTIONS, that will be able to get anything from the reception without the above required. If you insist, we will have to kindly remind you that this is how it was supposed to be from the start, and how IT IS GOING TO BE FROM NOW ON.
SEE YOU ALL AT TRAINING! SOOT RAAENG GEERT!
