It’s with great sadness that we have had to Cancel our upcoming event, the Yokkao Next Generation Sydney.
The event was going to be held on the 10th of November at the Petersham Town Hall and we were going to have some of the most amazing fighters from around the country and Thailand fighting in the event.
Unfortunately the Combat Sports Authority of NSW had not accepted our event to be held on the 10th of November. They are having 2 training days on that weekend )the 11th and 12th of November) and don;t have enough inspectors available for the 10th. Well, that’s what they told us but we kind of feel very disappointed and in a way discriminated by the CSA.
They have approved another event to be held on the same day and we wonder why the other promoter got the preference in relation to the inspectors. Not even just that, but the fact that most weekends we have 2, 3 sometimes even 4 Combat Sports events in NSW on the same day and they all happen without a problem.
We just don’t want to thing, from a Government agency that they are simply not willing to work the Friday in fact that they are obligated to work that Saturday and Sunday. Yes we don’t want to think that so we are asking for a better explanation on the reasons why this is happening, not only for this event that is already cancelled, but so we can ensure that we are on the same page and in the right path at the events we will be promoting next year.
We will do our best in trying to recuperate all the money we have invested already in order to promote this event and if we are not able to so we will need to look for some legal advise.
Yokkao Next Generation will come again next year, with a lot of exiting fights and sure to promote one of the best Muay Thai Events ever held in NSW.
Hope you are all having a good day, as ours turned a little bitter just then.
